Overnight cleaning is not the same as janitorial service. Janitorial is daily maintenance — emptying trash, wiping surfaces, restocking restrooms. Overnight cleaning is the intensive, periodic work that maintains the long-term condition of your facility. This includes full-facility deep cleaning on a rotating schedule, floor stripping, waxing, and buffing across all hard surfaces, carpet deep extraction and stain treatment, kitchen and cafeteria deep cleaning — hoods, grease traps, equipment, and surfaces, restroom deep cleaning including grout scrubbing, fixture descaling, and partition sanitization, stairwell and elevator cab deep cleaning, high-touch point sanitization — door handles, handrails, elevator buttons, and light switches, and loading dock and service corridor scrub-down.

Why overnight instead of weekend or after-hours?

For most commercial properties, overnight is the best window because the building is completely vacant (no risk of disruption or chemical exposure to occupants), heavy equipment runs freely without furniture constraints, floors dry fully before morning foot traffic, and there is no competition for elevator or service corridor access.

Weekend cleaning works for some tasks, but many properties have weekend occupancy — weekend retail hours, Saturday medical practices, Sunday building tours. Overnight provides a reliably empty-building window every weeknight.

Overnight work in commercial buildings requires strict security protocols. Every overnight crew member has passed an enhanced background check. We work with your building security to establish alarm codes, key protocols, access badge procedures, and sign-in/sign-out logs. Our crews carry LPJ identification at all times and follow documented lockup procedures when they exit the building.

All overnight activity is logged in your client portal — crew arrival time, task completion, departure time, and any issues flagged during the shift. If your building has security cameras, our presence is fully documented and transparent.

Combining overnight with daytime services

Most properties that use overnight cleaning also have a daytime program — janitorial, day porter, or both. The overnight crew handles the heavy lifting; the daytime crew maintains it.
